Rider Profile - Luke Palmer |
|
Monday, 23 March 2009 18:52 |
Ever since being given a ride-on toy scooter at the age of three, Luke has had a passion for motorbikes and motorbike racing. His first engine powered bike was a Honda C90, which he used to ride around his parents land at the age of seven.
Luke started racing 400cc Supersport machines in 2001, finishing third in the British Motorcycle Racing Clubs Rookie 400s. He then moved on to 1000cc superbikes and competed in the highly competitive MRO Powerbike class, finishing 5th in the championship in 2004. Securing sponsorship from the Sun Newspaper, Luke then progressed to the National Superstock Championship, although was badly injured in pre-season testing, which put a premature end to his racing career. Or did it?

Rider Profile - Jason Boswell |

Thursday, 26 February 2009 02:31 |
Like many a boy approaching his thirties, Jason came to motorcycling later in life, having had little interest in bikes since an embarrassing incident involving a mates DT50 and a tree when in his teens. While flicking through a magazine many years on (some would say in a moment of early crisis) Jason saw a photo of a Ducati Monster and vowed there and then to take his bike test and own one. It was meant to be.
Fast forward a few years during which the Monster gave way to a Kawasaki ZX6 that gave way to a Ducati 996 that was taken all round Europe and track day’ed extensively, Jason took the plunge to go racing in the Ducati Demo Due series in 2007.

Rider Profile - Phill Clarke |
|
Wednesday, 25 February 2009 07:48 |
After initially indulging his Ducati passion only in 2002, Australian ex-pat Phill Clarke has since owned 4 different 2-valve air cooled Ducati bikes. You could say he has a passion for the old school technology that doesn't require expensive (and heavy!) water cooling to produce an engine with distinctly Ducati characteristics, harking back to a glorious era of Mike Hailwood and Paul Smart. Phill started racing midway through the 2006 season, dipping his toe in the water of the UK's Ducati Desmodue series. This series, for Ducati 620 and 600 Supersport, Monster and Multistrada bikes is an ideal introduction to club racing. Phill's best placing was second at Cadwell Park, in a non-championship race, with his Ducati 600ss. For 2007, he remained in the Desmodue series, finishing the season 12th overall after missing the final two races. |
